You don't need a lot of oil for this glaze. As it roasts, the salmon gives up a bit of oil, and if you use more oil in the pan or the glaze, this will be, quite simply, too greasy.
The 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes is only sort of spicy and if you like REALLY spicy, add another 1/4 teaspoon.

2 tsp | extra virgin olive oil (divided) |
1/2 tsp | lime zest |
1 | lime (juiced) |
2 tsp | honey |
1/8 tsp | ground cumin |
1/4 tsp | red pepper flakes |
1/4 tsp | paprika |
1/8 tsp | salt |
fresh ground black pepper (to taste) | |
2 4 ounce | salmon filets |
Place a skillet in the oven and preheat the oven to 375F.
Place one teaspoon of olive oil in a bowl with the lime zest, lime juice, honey, cumin, red pepper flakes, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk together.
When the oven comes to temperature, place one teaspoon of olive oil in the pan and then the salmon filets.
Roast for about 8 minutes, then turn over the filets, pour the glaze over the filets and roast on the other side for 5 to 7 minutes.
Serve topped with the glaze.
