Ask Dr. Gourmet

In The Dr. Gourmet Diet Plan, I can't figure out how to add one of my custom recipes to my actual menus. Would you be able to point me in the right direction for this?

Dr. Gourmet Says...

When you add recipes to the Recipe Box the software will use them based on the algorithm for sorting recipes appropriately. There are many factors that go into how the system builds menus. For instance, it chooses 3 poultry recipes in a two week period. At this time it does this randomly but only after checking to make sure that the recipe "fits" into your menu based on number of family members, leftover properties and your preferences.

You may find that your recipe is not chosen but can be selected under the Alternate recipe selection. At this time it could be that under the criteria for your group the recipe is not selected.

In the next two weeks we will be adding a "Favorites" feature that lets you add your recipes manually and the software will work to build your menu around that.

I appreciate your patience with this. Every feature that we have built into the software has come from users like yourself and we are working (literally) around the clock to get them implemented.

Thanks for your support,

Dr Gourmet
