Ask Dr. Gourmet

Will Hoodia Gordonii Plus or Acai Berry work as appetite suppressants?

I really appreciated the question and answer on the colon cleanse. There are also a few products advertised now for appetite suppressants. What is your opinion on these? We are trying to eat healthy, but feel we need a boost to help us with our motivation to stay on track. (Hoodia Gordonii Plus and Acai Berry)

Dr. Gourmet Says...

bushels of acai berries

Like colon cleansers, the appetite suppressants on the market are a scam. Hoodia Gordonii and Acai Berry are at the top of the list, and in my opinion the people who sell these are liars and cheats.

If you are hungry and are working to lose weight, have a large apple or a 100 calorie pack of popcorn. Eat great healthy food that's not calorie dense.

Scams like this seem too good to be true because they are too good to be true.
