Basic Six Bean Mixture

The basic six bean mixture can be mixed together and stored in a plastic container or ziplock bag. It makes 6 lbs. of beans -- enough for 6 batches of soup or other recipes.

1 lb dried black beans
1 lb dried kidney beans
1 lb dried navy beans
1 lb dried pinto beans
1 lb dried brown lentils
1 lb dried split peas

Mix all ingredients together and store, covered tightly, in the pantry.
