Hmmm... Let’s see. Chocolate sauce? 45 calories. What can you put this on? Haagen Dazs sorbets or frozen yogurts? You’ll still come in well under 200 calories.
Coffee in Chocolate Recipes
Strong coffee works great in dessert recipes that call for chocolate, helping to enhance the flavor of the chocolate. Use double the amount of coffee grounds to make the coffee. In a pinch using instant coffee granules will work. Use an equal amounts of the best quality instant coffee granules and hot water.
Place the cocoa, granulated sugar, coffee, milk, vanilla extract and salt in a non-reactive sauce pan. Heat over medium heat whisking constantly until the sauce becomes smooth.
Add the flour and whisk for another minute and cool. Whisk about every two minutes for twenty minutes while cooling.
