Stonyfield Farm Organic Frozen Yogurt
I must admit to being pretty excited when I saw Stonyfield Farm Frozen Yogurts in the freezer case. I don’t get excited by many frozen desserts because I am usually disappointed. Most of the "premium" ice creams aren’t all that good, especially considering how many calories they have. But I love Stonyfield’s plain yogurt for its creamy, tart taste and use it almost exclusively. It doesn’t hurt that their products are organic, hormone and antibiotic free. Wowser! No disappointment here. Snagged two flavors and both were fabulous. The Gotta Have Java coffee nonfat frozen yogurt is rich, creamy and has a great true coffee flavor right down to the mellow aftertaste. At 100 calories and NO fat this gets a perfect 10!
But....
The Crème Caramel Lowfat Frozen yogurt gets an 11! While it comes in at 130 calories and 1.5 grams of fat, this frozen dessert is nearly perfect. The only way it could be any better is if it had no calories at all.
These were the only two flavors in the store but I am now on the hunt for more, especially considering that they make a Nonfat Vanilla Fudge Swirl. Yum!
