Step Two: Chop the ingredients. (cont.)

Turn the onion and slice into it from base to top. Depending on the size of the onion this will be 3 or 4 slices. Note that it is a little easier if you angle the blade of the knife downwards slightly.

Turn and cut the onion crosswise and the dices will easily fall away.
