What can I substitute for gorgonzola?
I have a lasagna recipe which requires 200g of gorgonzola, crumbled. Is
this cheese widely available at supermarkets or is there an alternative
I could use? The recipe is for 'spinach and ricotta lasagna with pine
nuts'.
Dr. Gourmet Says...
Gorgonzola cheese is an Italian blue cheese. Look for a mild blue cheese
as an alternative. Saga blue cheese is a Danish cheese that's milder and
widely available.
