As a user of Coumadin blood control drugs and the need to watch the level of daily intake of vitamin K, I read in your pages that Kiwi Fruit contain a reasonable amount of this vitamin. Other sources list kiwi as virtually K free. Can you confirm the level of Vitamin K in this fruit?
Dr. Gourmet Says...
Kiwi does contain Vitamin K. The USDA database reports a moderate amount. A medium kiwi (about 3 ounces) without the skin contains about 31 micrograms (mcg) of Vitamin K.
